I Wish I Could Have a Redo!!

I just had my interview for my position next year and I really want a redo!  I thought everything went well and then when I got home I realized I had forgotten to say some of the important things that I was supposed to say!  Have you ever done that?  It is like you are just in automatic and talking but you don't even know what you are saying.  I wish I could stop replaying it over and over in my head!  Our school is going to be a TAP school next year and we all have to reapply for our positions so please wish me luck!  Maybe I said something that made sense???

  1. What does TAP mean? A few years ago the school I worked out got restructured so we all had to reapply if we wanted to stay, so is that the same thing?

I'm sure you did great! I always do the same things so you are definitely not alone! In fact, in my first interview ever, I totally stunk. All I could talk about was how I was not confident in teaching reading...ahh, what a nightmare!

  2. I do this all the time, I interview, feel good about it, but get home and start thinking of all the other things I could have said, and I can't let it go! I am sure you did great and you will get the job! Just try to enjoy your weekend and know that what you did say was good!

  3. Thanks for the encouragement! I know that I am probably too hard on myself but this has been very stressful and everyone at our school is having a difficult time! I am just going to be a mess until I find out if I get my job back or not!

Bonnie, being a TAP school is the way that the teachers are structured, there are master teacher, mentor teachers and career teachers. They want the teachers to advance in positions throughout the years. Our district is slowly moving all schools towards this program.

  4. It is hard to NOT second guess ourselves. Just think everyone else was nervous too! God will put you where He needs you! =)

  5. I'm sure you did great. We are our worst critics! You have a fantastic blog! I'm your newest follower...and I just presented you with an award. Hop on over and check it out!

  6. To all of you who wrote these nice comments, I got the job! I am relieved but it is bittersweet because some of my colleagues whom I have worked with for quite a while did not get their jobs back. So, it is hard to celebrate when others are hurting!
